Originally designed in 1962, the lines watch was awarded "The Classics Prize" in 2004 by the Danish Design Center. The ultra thin Ole Mathiesen Classic timepiece is created in stainless steel with quartz movement, white dial with index lines or roman numerals, and arabic numerals (select from drop down menu), scratch-proof convex sapphire crystal and black calfskin leather strap. All Ole Mathiesen watches are Swiss Made with movements from Swiss movement manufacturer ETA. After assembly and quality control in Switzerland, the Ole Mathiesen watches are subject to an additional inspection in Copenhagen with focus on both technical benchmarks and aesthetic aspects. The quality control in Copenhagen includes for quartz movements a two day test at two different temperatures, and for automatic movements a three to five day test in five positions.
